The Rio Grande at its northernmost point meets the

southernmost point of the Rockies –the Sangre de Cristo Mountains in Colorado, 75 miles from Taos.When visiting Taos, next to the Rio Grande, Iwas able to see these mountains change colors frompurple to bright flaming orange as the sun set in the distance.
